  2.26.02 2:54 AM (Wednesday)  I haven't...
I haven't been remotely satisfied in a long time. I dunno what it is... maybe I'm whining, but I'm just really tired of everything. I haven't been happy in a long time. Today I was talking to people, and I was telling them about how all the seniors in my Stats class have senioritis... maybe I have it too.

Well since my mom is gone, these past two days my older sister has gotten up earlier so she could drive me and my other sister to school in the mornings. We get there a lot faster, because my mom drives hella slow...
I actually wish I could drive, it'd be a little more covenient, albeit more expensive... I need to get my license soon though.

I actually wasn't going to update tonight (this morning) because there hasn't been much material to talk about... let me think... in Japanese Sensei came back, on Monday she made us memorize a dialogue (it's just impossible when you come back from Mid-Winter Break...), and today (yesterday) a guy that went to GHS then to Japan as an exchange student came in and talked to us.
AP Stats- the seniors are all slacking off, so it makes me seem studious, which is both good and bad.
History- hard objective test on Progressivism today! Some people found it easy, but maybe that's because they read the book. I found it hard because i didn't... I was doing Calc HW before the test. It was funny becaue, during the first half of the test, the windows were open and a truck outside had a loud engine and the sound permeated the room, then it stopped and it got hella quiet and everyone was like "whoaaaaa." Pretty funny..
What else... EMT we started our Flash movies. My standards have just dropped through the roof because I don't really care... but our movie is about a fish that gets eaten by a shark and it's simple but funny.
Calculus has been a bitch. Maybe I'm just stupid but we're on a hard topic...
And AP LA, sub both two days. On Monday I spent the entire period talking to Eugene about video games (DDR, the FF series, other RPG's...) and Asian culture, and today we did a little work, got our timed writes back, and spent the rest of the period talking to Eugene again o_O Eugene actually has pretty interesting things to say, if he's not saying stupid things.
2.24.02 11:51 PM (Sunday)  Thinking back on break
Maybe it was a bad thing to put off all my HW until the last night... well at least I did my late AP Stats Assessment last night! That's starting something early. And I read one page from the novel I should've finished over break. Progress. Like the Progressive Movement, only not.

40 minutes later...

Well I just finished my study questions and am feeling great. I have to stay up all night so I can wake everyone up for school, my mom usually does that but she's in the Philippines again. I think I'll read This Side of Paradise, the novel I was supposed to finish this break. Oh yeah, math homework too...

Concerning what I wrote yesterday, I beat Nemesis in FFX! Yeah...

Well, it'll soon be time for school. Time to change gears, again. But first... the night.
2.24.02 1:59 AM (Sunday)  Kwan should've won gold
Gone again...

Lots of things have happened since last update, obviously. I remember two weeks ago on Thursday was Valentine's Day, we had a party in Statistics and everyone gave out valentines. Then we had a stupid pep assembly. That week was spirit week too... the Friday before break was a relief because it was an easy day. I went to lunch with Ada, and we actually walked somewhere for lunch (to AM/PM, haven't been there since sophomore year) instead of driving around somewhere. I miss walking out to lunch, everyone's so lazy so they all drive places and go the same fast food places... it gets old after a while.

This break I've been doing lots of nothing. I've beaten FFX though, but I'll still play it to max out everyone's stats. I take back my FFX rant... while the FF series has been going downhill since FFVII, FFX is a nice change from everything. It's different, so it can't really be compared to the past FF's, but it's most like FFVIII IMHO and it's 10x better than FFVIII too. I finished most of the sidequests... I've gotten everyone's celestial weapon, beaten most of the monsters in the arena (except Nemesis... my stats aren't strong enough to challenge him yet), and my blitzball team is fairly good. The only other sidequests I have to finish are the Remiem Temple Chocobo Racing game, and getting all the chests in Omega Dungeon... so I'll probably keep playing it for some time.

And I've been watching the Olympics lately. I've been cheering on the Asian-Americans, harhar. Apolo Anton Ohno won two medals and he was disqualified tonight, but he should walk away happy. Michelle Kwan on the other hand... it's disappointing because it's her second time losing; the judges shouldn't have ranked that Russian skater so highly because her performance wasn't as good as Kwan's, artistic-wise. Oh well. There's always 2006...

My life has been pretty much uneventful and generally down lately. Yet for some reason I don't really care... well, time to start my homework now, so... until next time.
  2.12.02 7:36 PM (Tuesday)  I'm sick
Eh I've been sick lately so I haven't updated in a while. Where to begin...

My first week of school went by smoothly at first, then Friday was a disaster. Yeah... it's been kind of harder with Calc 5th. Anyways, I got a cold Thursday night, and I had homework from most of my classes that night, but I stayed in bed for a few hours because I was freezing cold. So I stayed up the entire night doing HW, and feeling miserable. For some reason I decided to go to school the next day, because I had a test, although I felt like crap.

It was a bad idea... during 2nd period I had this funky psychodelic experience where my vision got all blurry and my ears couldn't pick up sound correctly and I had this strong urge to vomit and I got really hot. Not cool, considering I hadn't studied for the Creighton test the next period. Well I got all better by 3rd period, took the test, did okay. (Got it back today, got a 70... that's pretty good for me) Yeah. I decided to stay for the rest of the day for some reason, I dunno why. But I made it, and I was feeling all proud of myself. I never went to school so sick before.

This weekend was all about me battling my cold, which meant no carbonated soda, lots of water, and lots of soup. By Sunday night I felt a little better so I decided to do study q's for Creighton, and finished that.

Yesterday we took the objective test for Creighton, it was hell because I was still sick and I kept coughing and I had the feeling everyone was annoyed. It was kinda funny. What else... oh yeah I went to the counseling office and scheduled an appointment with my counselor about Running Start, but while I was waiting in line I couldn't stop laughing at the receptionist Shirley because she just does the funniest things, and she's missing an eyebrow and has a funny wig. So yeah I went to sit outside the library and Andrea soon joined and she had to schedule an appointment through Shirley too, and she had a really funny Shirley story. Apparently Andrea found the last SAT book, so she asked Shirley if she could take it and Shirley got up and started to head toward the door and didn't hear her or something so Andrea asked again and Shirley angrily said, "Can't I go to the lady's room?!" and I was rolling... yeah anyways. I had to leave from 6th because I had an appointment with the orthodontist.

And today... I supposed I could've stayed home today but I didn't. Ms. Farmer was administering some kind of math test so we spent 2nd period in Burton's. In Creighton we had a rescore, I got a 64% first time around which is an okay score but it's a lot better than I thought I would do. And we got our essays back and talked about them too.
  2.1.02 8:25 PM (Friday)  Semester's end
Wow the semester is over. Only one more until we're seniors, three more until graduation.

My finals week was overall pretty easy. On Wednesday it was awkward because 1st period there was no final, we just finished some dialogue presentations and then this kanji activity but Sensei was like "oh Gilbert it'll be unfair if you do that so let's have a conversation instead." If I haven't felt completely ostracized from the rest of the class already... and 3rd period AP Statistics we had our partner finals, I worked with Vidhi and it we started off good but soon we found out we were pressed for time. I only need a 5/75 on the final to maintain my A, I'm pretty sure we got that many right... lunch was depressing because my teeth were sore and I wanted to go to Chinatown to get some noodles, but I ended up going to Key Club instead. And 5th period was boring as well... it's sad I won't be a TA next semester.

Thursday started off really rough. I didn't study at all for my other final, for AP Calc, because I figured my grade was really high I didn't need to. I figured it out that I needed a 39% or so percent, which was 18 out of 45 questions so I aimed for that amount. Man was the final tough. I kept working on it 20 minutes into my break and I'm not sure how many I got right. I'm not that worried about it now though. 4th period no final, but an EC thing on Wizard of Oz which was hard. Lunch was spent typing up an assignment for LA in Spang's, telling Jodi about Eric's surprise party which went on tonight, and going to Duong's to play DDR. It was funny. AP LA finished Gatsby, it was kinda boring.

And tonight we had Eric's surprise birthday party at this Mexican restuarant in West Seattle. It sucked because Joe ruined it for him, oh well. The food was pretty nasty, and way overpriced. After that Raymond and Alex drove me home.
